8.10.6 Protection circuit
The power supply units contain the following protection circuits.
Protection Circuit
DC24V PSU
DC38V PSU
Overcurrent protection
function
Yes
The power supply is restored automatically.
Overvoltage protection
function
Yes
The power supply is restored automatically when the power is turned on
again.
Overheat protection
function
Overheat protection circuit is incorporated. The overheat protection circuit
function may be activated and the power may be shut down on the
situations below:
- The electrical unit cooling fan was stopped.
- Air inlet or outlet of the electrical components tray was obstructed.
- High temperature air flows into the printer from the air inlet.
If the power output is shut down because of one of the situations above,
recover the problem, and cool down the overheated unit. Then the power
supply will be restored when the printer is turned on again.
