Thefollowingsetofproceduresallowsyoutocheckthatthetransducercanbelowered
andhoisted.Theproceduresrequiretwopersons:
•Onepersonmustbestationedonthebridgetooperatethesonar.
•Onepersonmuststayinthesonarroomtomakesurethehoist/lowersystemworks
properly.
Thetwoproceduresmustbeperformedsimultaneouslybythepersononthebridge
andthepersoninthesonarroom:
•Checkingthebridgefunctionsshallbeperformedonthebridge.
•Checkingthesonarroomfunctionsshallbeperformedinthesonarroom.
Tosimplifythetest,youmaybringacopyoftheapplicablepagesfromthisdocument
downtothesonarroom.
Important
Propercommunicationmustexistbetweenthebridgeandthesonarroom.
Note
Shouldanyproblemsariseduringtheoperation,thepersoninthesonarroommust
switchthemotorprotectingswitchS301intheMotorControlUnittoOFFposition.
