Storageafterunpacking
Theunitmustwheneverpossiblebestoredinitsoriginaltransportationcrateuntilready
forinstallation.Thecratemustnotbeusedforanypurposeforwhichitwasnotintended
(eg.workplatformetc.).
Onceunpacked,theequipmentmustbekeptinadry,noncondensingatmosphere,free
fromcorrosiveagentsandisolatedfromsourcesofvibration.
Note
Donotbreakthesealtoopenacircuitboardpackagebeforetheboardistobeused.If
theboardpackageisreturnedtothemanufacturerswiththesealbroken,thecontents
willbeassumedtohavebeenusedandthecustomerwillbebilledaccordingly.
Theunitmustbeinstalledinitsintendedoperatingpositionassoonaspossible
afterunpacking.Iftheunitcontainsnormalbatteries,thesemayhavebeen
disconnected/isolatedbeforetheunitwaspacked.Thesemustthenbereconnected
duringtheinstallationprocedure.Unitscontainingbatteriesaremarked.
Note
Unitscontaininglithiumoralkalinebatteriesmustbehandledseparatelyandwithcare.
Suchunitsaremarkedaccordingly.Donotattempttorechargesuchbatteries,openthem
ordisposeofthembyincineration.Refertotheapplicableproductdatasheets.
Storageafteruse
Ifaunitisremovedfromitsoperatinglocationandplacedintostorage,itmustbe
properlycleanedandpreparedbeforepacking.
Cleaningcabinets
Ifacabinethasbeenexposedtosaltatmospherewhileitwasinuse,itmustbethoroughly
cleanedbothinternallyandexternallytopreventcorrosion.
1Wipethecabinetexternallyusingadampclothandalittledetergent.Donotuse
excessiveamountsofwaterastheunitmaynotbewatertight.Oncompletion,
drytheunitthoroughly.
2Allsurfacesmustbeinspectedforsignsofcorrosion,aking/bubblingpaint,stains
etc.Damagedorsuspectareasmustbecleaned,preparedandpreservedusingthe
correctpreservationmediumsfortheunit.Themediumstobeusedwillusuallybe
denedintheunits’maintenancemanual.
3Opentheunit,andusingavacuumcleaner,removealldustetc.fromtheunit.
Greatcaremustbetakentoensurethecircuitboardsandmodulesarenotdamaged
intheprocess.
