•Equipmentsuchassonartransducersandpilottubes

•Overboarddischarges

•Dentsinthehull

Allappendagestothehull,indentationsandpipein/outletsarepotentialsourcesof

underwaternoise.Theymayactasresonantcavitiesamplifyingnoiseatcertain

frequencies,createcavitationorturbulence.Transducersshouldnotbelocatedinthe

vicinityofsuchobjectsandespeciallynotimmediatelyaftofthem.
