Purpose
ThisprocedureexplainshowtoinstalltheSimradSU90
TransceiverUnit.
TheTransceiverUnitisnormallypositionedinthesonarroom
closetothehullunit.
Prerequisites
FreebulkheadspaceisrequiredtomounttheTransceiver
Unitcabinet.
Observethelimitationsduetothecablelengths:
•ThedistancebetweentheHullUnitandtheTransceiver
Unitisrestrictedbytheexibletransducercablejoining
thetwo.Remembertotakeintoconsiderationtheslack
necessarytolowerthetransducer.
Important
Thecabinetmustbemountedasacompleteunit.Thedoor
mustnotbeopeneduntiltheunitissecurelyfastenedtothe
bulkhead.
Note
Theinstallationshipyardmustprovideallnecessary
installationdrawings,andifrequired,thesemustbeapproved
bytheapplicableauthorities.
