systemcomprisestwoloudspeakersandapowersupply.Oneoftheloudspeakersis
“active”,itcontainstheamplier,andvariouscontrollersforthesoundvolumeand
quality.The“active”loudspeakeralsoprovidesaheadphonessocket.
Threecablesareused.Allarenormallyprovidedwiththepoweredspeakersystem.
•Audiocable
Thiscableconnectstheaudiooutputonthecomputertothe‘active’speaker.Thisis
normallyacablewithstereomini-jackconnectorsoneachend.
•Powersupplycables
Severalpowersupplytypesmaybeinused.Someplugdirectlyintothemainssocket,
othersareprovidedwithanACmainsinputcable.MosthavelowvoltageACorDC
outputcablesthatconnecttothe‘active’speaker.
•Loudspeakercable
Thiscableisusedfromthe“active”tothe“passive”loudspeaker.Thiscableisoften
permanentlyattachedtothe“passive”loudspeaker.
