6.11 Protective plates of the protective
hood
! The protective plates of the protective hood must
be replaced immediately if damaged (porous areas,
cracks or dents), or every 8years due to aging (see
replacement date on protective cover).
! Do not clean the splash guard with alcohol-based
cleaning agents, e.g. glass cleaners.
Clean the splash guard with a damp cloth (water and
detergent only) or using a plastics cleaning agent.
6.12 Cleaning the chiller
To ensure that the chiller works with optimum
efficiency and reliability, the cooling fins must be
cleaned (e.g. using a vacuum cleaner, compressed air or
soft brushes). The EPS 708 must always be switched off
before cleaning.
6.13 Replacing filter mats
Three filter mats have to be replaced. Viewed from the
front, two filter mats are located in the lower left cover
on the EPS 708 and from the rear, one filter mat is
located in the top right cover on the EPS 708.
1. Switch off EPS 708.
2. Remove the covers.
3. Remove the filter mats from the filter bags in the
covers and insert new filter mats.
4. Secure the covers.
