EnsurethattheVCEmodulesareproperlyandsecurelymountedtotheMarathonExpress.
l
EnsurethattheMarathonExpresshasbeenproperlysecuredwithinthefacility.
l
EnsurethattheOEMProcessModule(s)areproperlyandsecurelymountedtotheMarathon
ExpressVacuumBackEnd.
l
Ensurethatallhardwareissecure.
l
Verifyallprotectivecoversareinplace.
l
IftheoptionalEMObuttonwassupplied,ensurethatitisfunctional,andremovetheWarning
labelfromtheEMObutton.
l
Performchamberleaktestifrequired.
4.
FacilityChecks:
l
Ensurethatallfacilitiesarecapableofmeeting,orexceeding,therequirementsasdescribedin
the"FacilitiesSpecifications"onpage21.
l
Ensurethatthepower,communications,air,exhaust,nitrogen,vacuum,optionalwater,andany
otherconnectionshavebeencompleted.
l
Checkallcables.Verifythattheconnectorsarefullyseatedandscrews/locksaresecuredto
ensuregoodcontinuity.
l
Verifyallinternalcablesareroutedinasafeplaceandawayfromanyinternalmovement.
l
Verifyallexternalcablesareroutedinasafeplaceandawayfromanytravelareas.
l
Inspectallcablesandtubingforrestrictingbendradiiorexcessivetension.
5.
Pre-operationChecks:
l
Ensurethattherearenoobstructionsinthetravelpathoftherobotanditsendeffectorswithin
MarathonExpress.
NOTE: SomeoftheinternalcomponentsoftheMarathonExpressmaypresenttravelobstructions
torobotendeffectorsincertaincases.Itistheuser’sresponsibilitytocontroltherobotsuchthatthe
robot,andanymaterialintransport,donotcomeintocontactwiththesecomponents.
6.
ConnecttheMarathonExpresstothefacility’selectricalservices.
NOTE: HIGHVOLTAGE:200-240VACat15Amps.TheACcircuitmustbeproperlyprotected.

Ifsupplied,connecttheMarathonExpresssystem’sheaterpowersupplytothefacility’selectrical
services.
