Verifying the IP and Default Gateway Addresses
Ensure that the IP address and the default gateway are properly assigned by executing the following
command and examining its output:

User Name
To manage the device remotely, for example through SSH, Telnet, or the Web interface, a user
name must be configured. To gain complete administrative control over the device the highest
priviledge (15) must be specified.
NOTE: Only the administrator (super-user) with the highest priviledge level (15) is allowed to manage the
device through the Web browser interface.

The configured user name is entered as a login name for remote management sessions. To
configure user name and privilege level, enter the command at the system prompt as shown in the
configuration example:

console(config)# username admin password abc level 15
