Before carrying out the removal pro-
cedures, described in this
chapter,
disconnect the negative battery
ter-
minal.

Removing-refitting (137012V)
1.
Move the air inlet hose away, undoing the
nuts and the band shown.
2.
Loosen the tension of the belt undoing the
nut fixing the belt tensioner.
3. Undo the nut fixing the alternator mount-
ing bracket and the nut fixing the latter to
the engine at the top.
4.
Remove the belt tensioner from the engine
and remove the belt from the pullies.
5. Undo the lower fixing bolt, disconnect the
electrical connection, then remove the al-
ternator from the vehicle.
