Vibrating knife
The vibrating knife is made up of special
shears and a suitable set of vibrating blades
with electrically adjustable oscillation num-
bers.
It can be used to cut polyurethane sealants.
It is important that when cutting the blade is
always kept parallel to the window and to the
bodywork, to prevent breaking the blade.
To prevent the shears from overheating it is
useful to adjust the advance and the number
of oscillations according to the usage condi-
tions.
Detail A shows the scraper to be fitted to the
vibrating shears to level the residues of
sealant.
Do not use lubricants during
cut-
ting.
The blades should always be sharp-
ened.
The diagrams at the side and underneath il-
lustrate certain situations which recur when
cutting bonded windows with the appropri-
ate type of blade.
