Replacing body panels

Removing off cuts and preparing edges of bodyshell
1.
Remove the weld points along the entire perimeter of the edge of the bodyshell, using a special cutter.
2.
Remove the metal off cuts using pliers.
3. Straighten the edges with a hammer and dolly block.
4.
Remove the weld residues using a disc grinder.
5. Apply the IVI Epox epoxide type primer or an electro-weldable galvanized paint or an equivalent pro-
duct, to the areas previously ground.
Adjusting replacement part and finishing the edges of the bodyshell
1.
Place the replacement part in position after having degreased it suitably and fix it using the special
self-locking clamps.
2.
Trace the profile of the replacement part on the bodyshell using a tracer point.
3. Remove the replacement part and cut the excess from the edges of the bodyshell along the line
drawn previously using bodywork shears.
