1.
Undo the nuts fixing the first section of
the exhaust pipe to the power unit and re-
move it from the vehicle.
2.
Position the hydraulic jack under the
power unit as shown in the diagram.
3. Undo the reaction support bolt. Lower the
hydraulic jack to allow the power unit to
be moved to extract the alternator.
4.
Open the protective cover and disconnect
the electrical connections for the alterna-
tor.
5. Undo the bolts fixing the alternator to the
power unit and remove it from the vehicle.
