12.6 Thermal Indices
With this function the user can select the required Thermal Index for display:
• TIS (Soft Tissue Thermal Index)
• TIB (Bone Thermal Index)
• TIC (Cranial Bone Thermal Index)
Operation:
1. Press the [Utilities] key.
2. Select the [TI sel.] item.
3. Press the navigation wheel repeatedly to choose the required Thermal Index.
Press the [Exit] key on the control panel to exit the “TI sel.” function.
The selected Thermal Index is displayed on screen: Image Info
Remarks:
* While you are scanning, notice the index numbers you are using and which controls affect the
readings.
* Try to keep the index numbers as low as you can, while maintaining diagnostic information
within the image. This is particularly important when scanning the fetus.
