14.7.4.1 Simpson
To calculate Simpson in 2D mode:
1. Press the [Calc] key.
The Cardiac Calculations menu appears in the menu area.
2. Select [Simpson].
3. Select an item among [A4C Diastole] ,[A4C Systole],
[A2C Diastole], [A2C Systole].
4. Perform the circumference measurement of the left ventricle by
using the trackball and the right or left trackball key [Set].
5. Move the trackball to trace the longitudinal axis of the left
ventricle and [Set] the endpoint.
14.7.4.2 Vol A/L (Area Length)
To calculate Vol. A/L (Area Length) in 2D mode:
1. Press the [Calc] key.
The Cardiac Calculations menu appears in the menu area.
2. Select [Vol. A/L].
3. Select the appropriate item from [LV Vol. Diastole] ,
[LV Vol. Systole].
4. Perform the circumference measurement of the left ventricle by
using the trackball and the right or left trackball key [Set].
5. Move the trackball to trace the longitudinal axis of the left
ventricle and [Set] the endpoint.
