14.7.4.10 MV (Mitral Valve) in Spectral-Doppler Mode
There are three methods to perform the measurement of the MV (Mitral Valve) in the Spectral-
Doppler mode. Select Auto Trace, Manual Trace or individual item.
• Auto Trace (chapter 14.7.4.10.1)
• Manual Trace
(chapter 14.7.4.10.2)
• To measure the Items One by One
(chapter 14.7.4.10.3)
14.7.4.10.1 Auto Trace
1. Press the [Calc] key.
The Cardiac calculations menu appears in the menu area.
2. Select [MV] and [Auto Trace].
The Doppler spectrum is traced automatically and the results are
displayed.
3. Select the sensitivity of the envelope curve. (to
eliminate artifacts)
4. Select the Trace Mode channel of the envelope
curve (upper, both, lower).
A green line appears at the left of the spectrum.
Press the upper trackball key [Change] to move the
line and readjust the start cycle (the line changes to
yellow).Press the right or left trackball key [Set] to fix
the line.
A green line appears at the right of the spectrum. Press the [Change]
key again (line changes to yellow), move the line to readjust the end
cycle and fixate it with [Set].
The status area shows the current function of the trackball.
If you press the right or left trackball key, the measurement results are stored
in the Cardiac report.
Remark
: If you press the [Store] key the measurement results will be
included in the Cardiac report.
