14.9 Vascular Calculations
This system provides the package of Vascular Calculations that allows the measurement of ICA
(Internal Carotid Artery), CCA (Common Carotid Artery), ECA (External Carotid Artery), Peripheral,
Heart Rate and so on, using various items of Vascular Calculations.
14.9.1 Items of Vascular Calculations
The items of the vascular calculations are:
Lt. ICA, Rt. ICA, Lt. CCA, Rt. CCA, Lt. ECA, Rt. ECA, and
Peripherals.
14.9.2 Before starting Vascular Calculations
Make sure that the patient information is correct and the probe and application are selected properly.
If another application is selected, press the [Probe] key and verify which application is selected
currently in the probe selection menu screen. Change the application to Vascular.

Patient information must first be registered via the Patient Information menu.
To cancel all calculations performed before and begin new measurement, press the [End Exam] key
on the control panel.
14.9.3 The Vascular Calculations Method
The ways of Vascular Calculations such as Lt. ICA, Rt. ICA, Lt. CCA, Rt. CCA, Lt. ECA, Rt. ECA,
and Peripheral are the same.
There are three ways to calculate PSV, EDV, Peak Gradient, Mean Velocity, RI, PI, SD, etc.
in the Doppler spectrum.
