13.5.2 Velocity Ratio
To measure velocity ratio in Spectral-Doppler mode:
1. Select the [A/B] item.
2. Move the cursor to the start of the measurement and press the right or left trackball key to set the
mark. A second cursor appears.
3. Move the second cursor to the second point of the measurement and press the right trackball key
[Set] again to fix the mark.
Remarks
:
• The measurement results (such as the velocity of each point, the velocity ratio between two
points and RI) appear on the monitor screen.
13.5.3 Average Velocity (Manual Trace)
To measure the Average Velocity of a certain section in Spectral-Doppler
mode using Manual Trace:
1. Select the [Manual Trace] item. A cursor appears.
2. Move the cursor to the start point of the period and press the right or left trackball key [Set].
Begin trace.
Note:
If you want to readjust the traced line press the upper trackball key [Undo] repeatedly.
3. Trace to the end of the period and press the [Set] key once more.
Remarks
:
• The measurement results (such as the time and average velocity between two points, VTI,
RI and PI) appear on the monitor screen.
• A new cursor will appear. If necessary you can continue to measure by the same way.
• Depend on the setting in the Measure Setup, the envelope curve will be performed with a
continuous trace line or by setting points.
