14.7.4.7 Ao/LA
There are two methods to calculate Ao/LA (Aorta/Left Atrium) in the M mode.
One method is to calculate all items at a time and the other is to calculate one by one
.
• To measure all Items at a Time (chapter 14.7.4.7.1)
• To measure the Items One by One
(chapter 14.7.4.7.2)
14.7.4.7.1 To measure all Items at a Time
1. After obtaining a feasible image, press the [Calc] key.
The Cardiac calculations menu appears in the menu area.
2. Select [Ao/LA] and select [All].
Note:
The menu area shows which measurement should be performed.
(illuminated item e.g., Ao Root Dia)
3. Move + cursor to the Anterior Aortic Wall and press the right or
left trackball key [Set].
4. Move + cursor to the Posterior Aortic Wall and press [Set].
(Ao Root Diameter measurement)
5. Move + cursor to the Coronary Cusp and press [Set] to fix the mark.
6. Move + cursor to the Non Coronary Cusp and press [Set]. (Ao Cusp Separation measurement)
7. Move + cursor to the Posterior Aortic Wall and press [Set] to fix the mark.
8. Move + cursor to the Left Artrial Wall and press [Set]. (LA Diameter measurement)
14.7.4.7.2 To measure the Items One by One
To measure Ao Cusp Separation, Ao Root Diameter, LA Diameter one by one:
1. Press the [Calc] key on the control panel.
The Cardiac calculations menu appears in the menu area.
2. Select [Ao/LA].
3. Select the appropriate item among [Ao Root Dia] , [AoV Cusp Sep] or [LA Dia].
4. Perform the measurements by using the trackball and the right or left trackball key [Set].
