Caution:
z In the re-DHCP authentication mode, the IP address of an authentication-free user
and the primary IP address of the VLAN interface must be in the same network
segment. In the direct authentication mode, the IP address of an authentication-free
user and the IP address of the VLAN interface must be in the same network
segment.
z The configuration takes effect only if the Portal is enabled for the VLAN where the
authentication-free user locates.
z Layer 3 Portal authentication does not support the configurations of
authentication-free users.
2.3.2 Portal Authentication-Free User and Free IP Configuration Example
I. Network requirements
z Configure Portal authentication for the switch, and configure the Portal operating
mode as direct authentication.
z Before passing Portal authentication, the user can access the internal server 1.
z The server 2 can access the Internet without passing the authentication.
