Chapter 3 Proxy ARP
3.1 Introduction to ARP Proxy
You have to enable the ARP proxy function, if you want to realize layer 3
internetworking between ports after the layer 2 isolation is realized between ports within
the same VLAN, or the Super VLAN is enabled, or the isolate-user-vlan function is
enabled. ARP proxy means that the ARP request sent from one host on a network to
another isolated port on the same network or a host on another network is forwarded by
device which connects the two networks and has the ARP proxy function, and thus
realized the layer 3 internetworking between layer 2 isolated-ports.
3.2 ARP Proxy Configuration
ARP proxy configuration includes the enabling and disabling of the proxy ARP.
3.2.1 Enabling/Disabling ARP Proxy
Perform the following configuration in VLAN interface view.

3.3 Displaying and Debugging ARP Proxy
After finishing the above configurations, you can view the running status and the
configuration result of information authentication by using the display command.
