Basic Router Component Monitoring Method on page 51
Check the Router Component Status
When you check the router craft interface, the component LEDs, and the environmental
and operational information, you are either physically inspecting the components or
obtaining output about their status from commands you issue from the CLI.
To check router component status:
1.
Check the Router Craft Interface on page 60
2.
Check the Component LEDs on page 63
3.
Display Detailed Component Environmental Information on page 65
4.
Display Detailed Component Operational Information on page 66
Check the Router Craft Interface
Purpose To confirm that the craft interface is functioning properly by checking the alarm indicator
status or by checking the craft interface physically.
Action To check the router craft interface, do one of the following:
Use the following command:
user@host> show chassis craft-interface
The command output displays the router alarm indicator status, the LCD display
information (router name, router uptime, and status message that rotates at 2-second
intervals), and the major component LED status. Table 19 on page 60 describes the
command output for each router type. For more detailed information about the craft
interface, see “Checklist for Monitoring the Craft Interface” on page 249.
