powering down the router or disrupting the routing functions.

Check FPC Status and Utilization
Purpose To confirm that the FPC is functioning properly by checking the status and utilization
information for all FPCs installed in the router.
Action To display brief status and utilization information for FPCs installed in the router, use the
following operational mode command:
user@host> show chassis fpc
