5-2 Common Function Setting
This section describes the common parameters for MECHATROLINK-II and pulse/analog input type servo amplifiers.
For servo parameters of MECHATROLINK-II type and pulse/analog input type servo amplifiers, see chapter 6
"Parameter Setting and Operation of MECHATROLINK-II type Servo Amplifier" and chapter 7 "Parameter Setting and
Operation of Pulse/Analog Input type Servo Amplifier".
Limit Switch Setting
To set up CW and CCW direction limit switch.
For wiring of "Forward limit switch (LSP)" input and "Reversal limit switch (LSN)" input, see "4-5 Wiring I/O
Signals", Page 4-24; For signal assignment and polarity setting, see "5-3 I/O Signal Setting", Page 5-18.
• In the case of line driver, be sure to connect the limit switch in order to avoid damaging the equipment.
• To avoid oxidation of the limit switch contact, be sure to use N.C.s as much as possible.
• When the pulse/analog input type is in position control mode, even if motor stops due to limit switch ON,
the position deviation pulse will be kept all the time. To eliminate the position deviation pulse, be sure to
use the "Deviation clear (CLR)" input.
Only the pulse/analog input type will produce a warning in the case of limit switch input. It is possible to
operate in reverse direction after a warning occurs.
■ Limit switch stop mode
When the MECHATROLINK-II type servo amplifier is used in combination with KV-ML16V,
be sure to
set the
limit stop mode to "
Stop by cmd spd 0 and servo lock
". If it is changed, then it is not possible to operate
normally.
■ Torque limit at limit switch ON
• The setting unit is a percentage of rated torque.
• It is disabled in the case of torque control. It is stopped according to "*Servo OFF or G1 alarm stop mode"
(ALM_01). Even if the set value exceeds max. torque of the servo motor, max. torque of the servo motor
will also be used as the upper limit value.
• ALM_04 is enabled only when set value of ALM_03 is "
Stop by cmmand spd 0 and servo lock" or "Stop by
cmd spd 0 and free
".
• When the limit switch is ON, normal torque limit value will be disabled. If limiting is performed through
ALM_04, then "
stop by cmmand spd 0" will be performed. Therefore, when default (800%) is used, "stop
by cmmand spd 0"
will be performed according to max. torque.
• Ex-factory set value is 800%, but the upper limit of the stop torque actually enabled is the max. torque of
the servo motor.
