Replacement of Lithium Battery
When voltage of lithium battery with battery case (SV-B1) is low, "ABS encoder battery alarm" (830) or "ABS encoder
battery warning" (930) occurs. In this case, the lithium battery should be replaced.
Even if the above-mentioned alarm/warning do not occur, once the recommended replacement period (about 3 years)
expires, lithium battery should also be replaced.
To replace the battery, be sure to use the backup lithium battery (OP-51422) and make replacement according to the
following steps.
• Lithium battery should be replaced when control circuit power is on. If lithium battery is removed when
control circuit power is OFF, current position will be lost.
• Be sure to replace lithium battery when main circuit power is OFF, so as to prevent electric shock.
■ Replace lithium battery
To replace battery, slide and remove lithium battery with battery case (SV-B1) on servo amplifier and replace with the
backup lithium battery (OP-51422) .
Remove lithium battery with
battery case (SV-B1) from
servo amplifier.
Remove battery inside. Mount backup lithium
battery
(OP-51422) .
Find the groove and slide
lithium battery with battery
case, until it is locked in place.
