■ Speed limit method setting
Speed limit can be performed through the set value of a parameter, through an external input terminal used by speed
command, and through switching analog speed command and setting a command speed.
Speed limit method can be set through a parameter.
● Speed limit switching based on external input signal
Speed limit is perfomed through switching analog voltage input and setting command speed 1 to 7 by combining the
"Speed selection 1 (SPD1)" input/"Speed selection 2 (SPD2)" input/"Speed selection 3 (SPD3)" input.
For settings of analog speed limit and command speed, see "7-4 Speed Control", Page 7-11.
*1 When "Speed selection 3 (SPD3)" input is used, be sure to assign the "Speed selection 3 (SPD3)" function to an
input terminal.
For assignment of input terminals, see "5-3 I/O Signal Setting", Page 5-18.
• The setting command speed value assigned by "Analog speed limit (V-REF)" and SPD1-3 can be used
as ABS value, and is applicable to both CW and CCW.
• When "Speed limit method" (VEL_06) is 1, speed will be limited by the smaller value between the setting
command speed selected from "Speed selection 1 (SPD1)"/"Speed selection 2 (SPD2)"/"Speed
selection 3 (SPD3)" terminals and the "Analog speed limit (V-REF)" input.
• Even if the set value exceeds max. speed of the servo motor, the max. speed will also be used as the
upper limit.
● Speed limit based on parameters
Motor speed limit value can be set through a parameter. During torque control, the speed limit setting will always be enabled.
Even if the set value exceeds the max. speed of the motor in use, the max. speed will still be used as the upper limit.
