Please Use it Correctly
The following precautions must be followed when using SV series.
■ Application scope
•
This servo motor can't be used in any application directly relative with human body protection e.g. life-maintaining device.
■ Installing and wiring
• The wiring can be done only by those with electricity knowledge.Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or
personal injury.
• Do not use it in explosive gas. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
• Do not use it in the environment with water and corrosive gases. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
•
No scratch on cable! Don't drag, place heavy load over and extrude cable! Otherwise, it may result in electric shock or failures.
•
Install the servo motor first, then wire power and motor. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or personal injury.
• Be sure to cut off the power supply before wiring. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
• Be sure to connect the grounding line. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
• Wire power cable according to the wiring diagram. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
•
Stop equipment must be equipped for guaranteeing safety. Electromagnetic brake of servo motor is not the stop
function based on failsafe, so other stop equipment must be installed. Otherwise, it may result in personal injury.
•
The grounding terminal of servo amplifier must be connected to grounding. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
• Don't collide the servo motor vigorously. Otherwise, it may result in accidents.
• Don't use damaged servo amplifier and servo motor. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
• Combine servo amplifier and servo motor as specified. Otherwise, it may cause fire or failure.
• Don't measure the insulation resistance and insulation withstand voltage. Otherwise it may damage the servo
motor. If you do need to measure that, please contact us.
• Install safety protection unit when using it in any installation for which any fault in this product may result in
major accident or loss.
• Do not install the servo motor and regenerative resistor on or near any inflammables. Otherwise, it may cause
fire.
• Do not place any inflammables near servo motor and regenerative resistor. Otherwise, it may cause fire.
• For environment temperature of servo motor, the servo amplifier is: 55°C or less and servo motor: below 40°C.
Otherwise, it may result in fire or accidents.
• For installation space, direction of the servo motor, use it according to the specifications. Otherwise, it may
result in fire or accidents.
• Install the servo motor at a place that can bear its dead weight. Otherwise, it may result in personal injury or
accidents.
• Be sure to install fuseless breaker. Otherwise, it may cause fire.
• Please do tighten the screws of power terminal of main circuit and that of control circuit. Otherwise, it may
result in accidents or personal injury.
• Be sure to make correct connection when using regenerative resistor. Otherwise, it may cause fire.
• Be sure to check the object consistent with the ordered product. If different product is installed, it may result in
personal injury and equipment damage.
• The distance between the amplifier and the control panel or other machines must meet the specified distance.
Otherwise this may result in failure.
• Be sure to secure the servo motor first, and then operation. Otherwise, it may result in personal injury due to
motor movement at rapid acceleration/deceleration.
• When inserting the cable, please take care to avoid the ratchet of lines touching surrounding cables (to become
short-circuiting). Otherwise it may result in fault.
• Be sure to install safety protection unit to avoid short-circuit for external wiring. Otherwise, it may cause fire.
■ Maintenance and Inspection
• The wiring can be done only by those with electrical knowledge.
• Be sure to disconnect the input power and inspect after 5 minutes when confirming the "CHARGE" indicator is
OFF. Otherwise, it may result in electric shock.
• Don't wear such metallic objects as watch, ring, etc. and use insulation tools at working. Otherwise, it may
cause electric shock or personal injury.
• Do not change wiring during operation. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or personal injury.
