8-4 Gain Search PRO

Safety Consideration
To avoid any unexpected operation in Gain search PRO (w/o higher-level command), the following should be
considered:
• Do not touch any moving part when servo motor is rotating.
• Be sure to check the permissible range before you do this.
• An emergency stop measure should be in place.
• Among others, a limit switch should be used to limit mechanical movement.
•
After executing Gain search PRO (w/o higher-level command), always make servo amplifier power ON agian.
Due to auto operation of the servo motor in executing Gain search PRO (w/o higher-level command), the motor may
stop at a position other than that of higher-level positioning/motion unit command. As a result, the "Servo on cancel
need turn off" alarm (0B0) may occur when servo ON after execution.
•
After executing Gain search PRO (w/o higher-level command), always check stop position of the machine.
Due to auto

, the motor may
stop at a position other than that of higher-level positioning/motion unit command. Be sure to execute origin return
to match the position of higher-level positioning/motion unit command with that of servo motor.
Steps to Follow
Before executing Gain search PRO, be sure to execute "auto tuning parameter mapping" and "estimation of ratio of
inertia moment". "8-3 Switching to Manual Tuning", Page 8-10
Be sure to execute Gain search PRO according to the following operation.
■ Execute with Access Window
Be sure to take the following steps when using the Access Window for Gain search PRO.
For how to operate Access Window, see Chapter 11 "Access Window"
1 Press " " to display the main menu.
2 Press " "/" " to select "2.Tuning". Then press " " .
Display submenu.
3 Press " "/" " key, then select "3.GainSrchIN" for executing Gain search
PRO (w/o higher-level command), or select "4.GainSrchEX" for executing
Gain search PRO (w/ higher-level command). Then press " " key.
Display the submenu.
4 Select "Parameter" and press " " key to check and change
tuning relevant parameters.
