3-1 Installation

Installing Servo Amplifier

■ Precautions

• Do not use it in the environment where corrosive gases, combustible gases or flammable materials exist otherwise

electric shock or fire will occur.

• Do not stand on it or place weight on it, otherwise fault will occur.

• Avoid foreign materials entering into the equipment, and do not block the air inlet and outlet. Otherwise damage of

internal components, will failure or fire will occur.

• Follow the installing direction, otherwise failure will occur.

• Keep the specified distance between servo amplifier and the Inner face of control panel or other machines,

otherwise fire or fault will occur.

• Do not apply strong shock on it, otherwise fault will occur.

• When installing amplifier in the control panel

Install it considering the size of control panel, configuration of servo amplifier and cooling method, so as to ensure

that the ambient temperature around the amplifier doesn't exceed 55°C.

• When installing amplifier near a heating element,

Control the temperature rise due to the heat emitted from the element or thermal convection, so as to prevent the

ambient temperature around the amplifier from exceeding 55°C.

• When installing amplifier near a vibration source

Install an anti-vibration device on the installing face of the amplifier, so as to prevent vibration from being transferred

to the amplifier.

• When installing amplifier in an environment where corrosive gases exist

Take measures to prevent corrosive gases from entering. Otherwise malfunction of related devices such as electronic

elements and contactors will occur even though they don't bring about negative effect immediately.

• Others

Do not install it in corrosive gases high-temperature or humid environment, or in the environment where radiation or

large amount of water drops, cutting oil, dust or iron powder exist.

■ How to Install

Amplifier is perpendicular to the wall in installation, as shown in the diagram below.

Follow the general specification of amplifier "2-3 Servo Amplifier Specifications", Page 2-7 to install for other

aspects.

● Installation direction

The amplifier is fixed on the installing face with 2 to 4 mounting holes (number of mounting holes depends on models).

When installing, The front face (access port) of amplifier must be close to the installing personnel in installation.
