Motor Stop Mode at Servo OFF or Alarm
Motor stop mode at servo OFF or alarm is described below.
A dynamic brake can be used for emergency stop. When power ON/OFF or start/stop based on sevo
ON is performed in command input status, the dynamic brake circuit will operate frequently, causing
internal element aging.
When the main circuit power (L1, L2, L3
*1
) or control circuit power (L1C, L2C) is OFF, the servo
amplifier will force to stop in dynamic brake mode, regardless of the parameter setting of "*Servo OFF or
G1 alarm stop mode" (ALM_01) and "*G2 alarm stop mode" (ALM_02).
The main circuit power is OFF (all models) .................................. Dynamic brake stop
The control circuit power is OFF (except for SV-500A) ....... Dynamic brake stop
(SV-500A) ................................................ Free run and stop
When the main circuit power (L1, L2, L3
*1
) or control circuit power (L1C, L2C) is OFF, if free run stop
instead of dynamic brake is required, be sure to disconnect wiring of the servo motor (U, V, W), and
create a sequence control program outside.
For the stop mode at alarm, all the alarm can be stop by cmmand have been set to "stop by cmmand 0"
by default, in order to keep the inertial motion distance shortest. According to uses, if dynamic brake
mode is suitable, please select dynamic brake mode as the stop mode.
1 Only L1, L2 are available for a 100V servo amplifier.
Motor stop mode at servo OFF and G1 alarm
Motor stop mode at G2 alarm
After the motor stops, it will be in the stop status set by ALM_01.
ALM_02 stop mode is enabled in position control and speed control mode. The stop mode of ALM_01
will be used for torque control.
Dynamic brake is a stop mode for emergency stop a of servo motor. The servo amplifier has a built-in ciruit
for dynamic brake, and emergenc stop of a servo motor can be realized through short-circuiting the
electrical circuit.
