10-1 Overview and Specifications
This section describes overview and specifications of absolute position system and how to use.
Overview
Absolute type servo motor (SV-A) consists of a detector that detects position within one revolution and
accumulative revolution counter.
When using the absolute position system, current position of encoder can be kept by a lithium battery with battery
case (SV-B1), even if power supply of control circuit is OFF.
• Incremental servo motor can not use the absolute position system.
• When absolute position system is not used, current coordinate will be reset once power is ON. Be sure to
perform origin return first you start if required.
