Working gas (1a)
Overview
Use creating and maintaining the ultra pure gas atmosphere
Additional use:
¡ box pressure regulation
¡ pressure gas for electro pneumatic valves and pneumatic
drives
¡ for purge and fill of the system with desired inert working gas
when commissioning for the first time and after servicing and
repair.
Gas type Nitrogen, argon, helium or CDA (reactor may not filter O
2
)
Purity Medium purity from bottles or other supply facilities (recommen-
ded: 4.8 or higher, equivalent 99.998% or higher) 

Quantity Permanent supply for system operation
¡ Other gas mixtures, including those with carbon dioxide and hydrogen, are possible.
These require special preparation by MBRAUN
¡ Preparations facilitating the use of such gases are not included in the standard sys-
tem. Only gases listed in the table above should be used, otherwise please contact
MBRAUN
Pressure regulation
Connection equipment provided by the operating company: pressure reduction valve for
control gas.
Use Pressure reduction in front of the system gas inlet
Pressure 200 bar (20 MPa) on operating company’s supply line (primary),
5.0 bar ... 6.0 bar (0.5 ... 0.6 MPa) at connection point (second-
ary)
Flow rate 250 l/min
Connection type Ø 10 mm cutting ring screw
Overpressure safety relief valve
Connection equipment provided by the operating company: pressure relief valve for work-
ing gas.
Use Safety valve to prevent overpressure
Pressure Adjusted to 0.8 MPa (8bar) secondary site
