EQ (E zone)
The input channel equaliser has four bands: treble, hi-mid, lo-mid and bass. The
control centre can only address one of these bands at a time, whereas the GUI detail
area will display all four bands and will also indicate which of the four the control centre
is currently addressing.
By default, all four bands have frequency, gain and width controls. However, the treble
and bass bands can be switched to shelving modes using the SHAPE switch. In some
modes the width control is unused.
Four-band sweep EQ section allows tonal control of the input signal. Adjustment of
bands is via GUI only.
parametric EQ section (E zone) has freq, width and gain control knobs, which are
used in conjunction with treble, hi-mid, lo-mid and bass buttons in the EQ control
section on the input fast strips. These select which of the four bands the surface is
controlling. All four bands are displayed on the screen - no matter what is selected -
and selected area will be highlighted.
