Only typeB super-resistant (short-time delayed) universal current-sensitive residual current
devices are permitted for the Line Modules.

6.3.2.2 Operating conditions
Description
In case of unfavorable line supply conditions, as a result of the system that they are being used
in, converters can generate capacitive leakage currents that can cause residual current devices
to nuisance trip.
When using residual current devices to prevent leakage currents due to the operating conditions
causing residual current devices to trip, the following requirements apply:
• The residual current devices used must be typeB super-resistant (short-time delayed)
universal current-sensitive devices.
• The residual current device must have a rated residual current of 300mA.
• A separate residual current device must be used for each Line Module.
• It must be ensured that the loop impedance complies with local installation regulations.
• The total length of the shielded power cables (motor cables including line supply cable from
the line lter to the connecting terminals of the Line Module) in the drive line-up must be less
than 350m.
• The system may be operated only with the recommended line lters.
• Switching elements (disconnector unit, line contactors) for connecting and disconnecting
the drive system have a maximum 35ms delay time between closing or opening of the
individual main contacts.
