By means of the aspiration created by the engine, the outside
air flows through the air socket (3) and the centrifugal move-
ment is imparted at high speed by the wings aimed at the filter.
The larger particles of dust and dirt are separated from the
air and collected in the condensate discharge valve (2).
The suctioned air then passes through the primary and possi-
bly the secondary (safety) filter elements before being fed into
the engine.
If present, the secondary filter (safety) ensures that unfiltered
air does not enter into the engine even if the primary filter
should fail.
