8 Check the sensor (tray 3 feed-out) for proper operation.
1. Enter Diagnostics mode.
2. Select INPUT TRAY TESTS.
3. Select Sensor Tests.
4. Select Tray 3.
5. Select Feed-out.
Open the 2TM/TTM left door assembly, and visually
check it.
Does the display on the operator panel change every
time the actuator on the above sensor operates?
Go to step 10. Go to step 9.
9 Check the sensor (tray 3 feed-out) for proper
connection.
Is the above sensor connected properly?
Replace the sensor
(tray 3 feed-out).
Go to “2000-sheet
dual input (TTM)—

page 4-89.
Replace the
connection.
10 Note: This step only applies to machine equipped with a
2000-sheet dual input (TTM).
Remove the tray 4 media transport assembly from the
TTM.
Go to “2000-sheet dual input (TTM)—tray 4 media
transport assembly removal” on page 4-69.
Inspect the metal tab on the tray 4 media transport
assembly as shown in the graphic below.
Is the metal tab on the tray 4 media transport assembly
bent?
Staighten the metal
tab with needle nose
plyiers or replace the
tray 4 media
transport assembly.
Go to “2000-sheet
dual input (TTM)—
tray 4 media
transport assembly
removal” on
page 4-69.
Go to step 11.
