Broom Motor
1. Remove the Main Broom described on
page 263.
2. Open the hopper and engage the prop
rod.
3. Remove the 5/16”-18 Hex Screw holding
the Broom Drive Hub Assembly onto the
gearbox shaft, then remove the Broom
Drive Hub Assembly,washer and key.
4. Remove the 1/4”-20 hex screw and washer
holding the broom motor access panel to
the machine frame, and slide the panel off
the front pins to remove the panel.
5. Disconnect the broom motor electrical
connector from the wiring harness.
6. Remove the three 5/16”-18 hex screws
holding the broom motor assembly to the
broom support weldment and remove the
broom motor assembly from the machine.
7. Reinstall the broom motor assembly
following the above steps in reverse order.
Note: Apply Never-Seez® or an equivalent anti-seize compound on the gearbox shaft when you
reinstall the Broom Drive Hub Assembly. Apply Loctite® 242 (blue) on the 5/16”-18 Hex
Screws when reinstalling the Broom Drive Hub Assembly and Broom Motor Assembly.
