How to Collect Pre-set Non ROUTE Measurements
Orbit Measurement Setup
To set up and collect a Non ROUTE orbit measurement:
From the main screen, use the left/right/up/down arrow buttons to highlight the
Non ROUTE option and press an Enter button. You are placed in Non ROUTE
mode.
Use the left/right/up/down arrow buttons to highlight the Orbit icon and press an
Enter button. The Orbit Setup Screen displays.

Prior to setting up your orbit measurement, use the Configuration menu’s Single Shot
or Continuous option to specify the orbit measurement’s display action.
Single Shot operation freezes the measurement when the orbit data stabilizes.
In Continuous mode, the Microlog constantly analyzes and updates the
measurement results until you press Enter to manually freeze the
measurement.
Orbit Setup screen fields are:
Units, Coupling, and Sensitivity apply to both channels.
Units Derives the measurement type and units. Note that the type of measurement
(acceleration, acc. to vel., velocity, or displacement) depends upon the type of seismic
sensor used (accelerometer, velocity pickup, or proximity probe).
CouplingDetermines the type of signal acquired for the measurement. Options are:
ACAcquires the input signal from a buffered output (external) device.
DCAcquires the input signal from a powered transducer (e.g., proximity
probe), and measures the DC bias (Gap) of the probe output.
