How to Transfer Test Templates to the Microlog GX
Test templates in accordance with recognized industrial vibration standards may be
supplied to you as files on a CD, or provided to you over the internet and stored in an
appropriate folder on the host computer’s hard drive. Custom configured test templates
are also stored as files on your hard drive. Test template files have a descriptive
filename and a .ccs filename extension. These test template files must be transferred
from your host computer to the Microlog GX for conformance testing use.
To transfer test template files to the Microlog GX:
These instructions assume you have installed Microsoft
ActiveSync, the supplied ActiveSync drivers for the GX, and
connected ActiveSync to your Microlog GX through your host
computer. Refer to the Microsoft
ActiveSync Communications
section in Chapter 1 – Introduction to the SKF GX Series Microlog
for details.
• Using the appropriate cable, connect the Microlog GX to your host computer’s USB
port. ActiveSync should automatically sense the connection and the Microsoft
ActiveSync window should display a Connected – Synchronized message.

After establishing an ActiveSync connection between the host computer and the
Microlog GX, the Microlog GX appears as the Mobile Device in Windows Explorer
