How to Set Up Multi-Channel Measurements
Setting up Non ROUTE dHFD POINTs
To set up Non ROUTE dHFD POINTs:
Set Units to gE.
Set Filter to HFD.
Set Detection to either RMS or True Peak. Other Detection settings produce
repeatable dHFD readings, but will not necessarily match readings obtained from
ROUTE POINTs.
How to Set Up Multi-Channel Measurements
Multi-channel measurements allow you to monitor shaft orbits, multi-spectrum, multi-
time, and cross-channel phase measurements for Non ROUTE measurements. These
measurements can be triggered or non-triggered. In non-triggered mode, you can
either type in the required RPM value or specify running speed from the spectral
display.
For all multi-channel measurements, you may choose to display the trace for any of the
monitored channels, or for all channels simultaneously.
Multi Channel Measurement Options Overview
Orbit
CH1 time vs. Ch2 time, unfiltered or order-
filtered (up to 8 orders), plus DC gap
measurement
Multi-Spectrum
Spectra of all input channels captured and
displayed simultaneously
Multi-Time
Time waveforms of all input channels captured
and displayed simultaneously
Cross-Channel Phase
Phase of input CH1 relative to input CH2: Both
spectra are stored and phase is displayed as a
table of magnitude/phase pairs with up to 8
orders.
Multi-channel Orbit measurements were described in the How to
Collect Pre-set Non ROUTE Measurements section of this
chapter.
