Non ROUTE
How to Collect “User” Defined Non ROUTE Data
Orders sets the horizontal axis of the spectrum display in orders
(multiples of running speed). Orders requires an external 1XRPM
trigger that is phase referenced to the rotating shaft.
UnitsDerives the measurement type and units. Note that the type of measurement
(acceleration, acc. to vel., velocity, displacement, volts, pressure, or enveloped
acceleration) depends upon the type of seismic sensor used (accelerometer, velocity
pickup, or proximity probe).
CouplingDetermines the type of signal acquired for the measurement. Options are:
ACAcquires the input signal from a buffered output (external) device. No
power is applied to the input by the Microlog.
DCAcquires the input signal without using a charge-amplified sensor. No
power is applied to the input by the Microlog.
ICP Acquires the input signal from a charge amplified sensor. 4 mA constant
current is supplied to the input by the Microlog.
Input ChannelChoose from CH1, CH2, CH3, CH1 & CH2, CH2 & CH3, or
CH1&CH2&CH3 A channel is a single point of monitoring, including the sensor and the
hardware needed to condition the input signal and to compare the input signal to pre-
determined setpoints.
For measurements taken with a Triax sensor, select CH1 & CH2
& CH3.
For more details on multi-channel measurements, refer to How
to Set Up Multi-Spectrum / Multi-Time Measurements, later in
this chapter.
Channel 1 = POINT.1_2 Channel 1
Channel 2 = POINT.1_2 Channel 2
Channel 3 = POINT.3_4 Channel 1
DetectionDetermines signal detection and scaling.
Choose from:
RMSThe Root Mean Squared overall calculated from the FFT or time data.
PeakScaled from RMS as 2 RMS.
Pk-PkScaled from RMS as 2 2 RMS.
True PeakDetected from the time waveform rather than the FFT spectrum
as ½ (max Pk. min Pk.).
True Pk-PkDetected from the time waveform rather than the FFT spectrum
as (max Pk. min Pk.).
Use the following table to determine which Peak or Pk-Pk setting will match the
CMVA65, CMVA55, CMVA40, and CMVA30’s detection method for the same POINT
type:
