Before installing Kavlico sensors, reference the Dynon Technical Advisory
website (https://www.dynonavionics.com/support-bulletins.php) for important
information regarding Kavlico sensors sold by Dynon.
10.2.12 Oil Temperature Sensors
While a Dynon Avionics oil temperature sensor may be connected to any general purpose
input pin on the SV-EMS-220’s D37, we recommend that it be connected to pin 7 on this
connector.
The oil temperature sensor needs to be installed according to the directions of the engine
manufacturer. Dynon Avionics sells oil temperature sensors with both 5/8-18 UNF (Dynon
Avionics P/N 503385-000) and 1/8-27 NPT (Dynon Avionics P/N 100409-000) threads.
Ensure that you have the right sensor for your engine.
Dynon Avionics 5/8-18 UNF Oil Temperature Sensor is furnished with an AN900-10
Crush Washer.
When tightening the 5/8-18 UNF Oil Temperature Sensor into place, the
Crush Washer must be centered. Failure to do so may result in an improper
seal.
