24.6.1 14 CFR § 91.227 Compliance
The Dynon Avionics SV-XPNDR-261 transponder can be connected to the following GPS
units to form the basis of a 14 CFR § 91.227 compliant ADS-B Out installation:
• Dynon Avionics SV-GPS-2020 (connected to SkyView display).
• Avidyne IFD440/IFD540 (connected directly).
• FreeFlight 1201/1204 (connected directly).
• Garmin GNS 400W/500W series (connected directly).
• Trig Avionics TN70 (connected directly).
For installations seeking certification to 14 CFR § 91.227 or other applicable standards,
additional compliance information may be available on request from Dynon Avionics or
Trig Avionics Limited.
24.6.2 AMC 20-24 Compliance
The Dynon Avionics SV-XPNDR-261 or Dynon Avionics SV-XPNDR-262 transponder
can be connected to the following GPS units to form the basis of an AMC20-24 compliant
ADS-B installation:
• Avidyne IFD440/IFD540 (connected directly).
• FreeFlight 1201/1204 (connected directly).
• Garmin GNS 400W/500W series (connected directly).
• Trig Avionics TN70 (connected directly).
For installations seeking certification to AMC 20-24 or other applicable standards,
additional compliance information is available on request from Trig Avionics Limited.
24.6.3 Automatic Air/Ground Determination
The SV-XPNDR-261 can report ADS-B surface and airborne messages. This can be
accomplished via a squat switch input that is designed to be used with an automatic
air/ground switching device, or via automatic detection. These options are fully explained
in section SV-XPNDR-261 Transponder Installation and Configuration of this manual.
