22.2.5.2 European Charts and Airport Diagrams (Europe)
PocketFMS’ Frequent Flyer membership includes AeroData, charts (including Pooleys in
the UK), airport diagrams, visual approach, landing, and area charts, costs €150 per year.
This is only 31 more than the existing SkyView AeroData-only subscription (which
remains available). As of August 2015, enroute charts are also available from
PocketFMS. To become a PocketFMS Member (Frequent Flyer membership), see
http://www.pocketfms.com/Dynon/.
22.2.5.3 Australia and New Zealand Charts (Austraila, New Zealand)
SkyView supports Australia and New Zealand charts from OzRunways
(https://www.ozrunways.com) and AvPlan EFB (http://www.avplan-efb.com). Please
contact these companies directly for more information about the specific data they
provide, pricing, purchase / subscription options, and support on saving their data onto a
USB flash drive for use with SkyView.
22.2.6 Base Map (Cultural Data)
Base Map (Cultural Data) is available free-of-charge for all SkyView pilots for SkyView
pilots worldwide. The Base Map contains roads, city names, railroads, rivers, and political
boundaries. Like the terrain database, it is partitioned into different regions. Download the
base map database for your region from http://www.dynoncertified.com/basemap-terrain-
data.php to a USB flash drive. Reference the section below for instructions on how to
import the file onto a SkyView display.
22.2.7 Loading Databases
1. Download database file(s) from http://www.dynoncertified.com/us-aviation-
obstacle-data.php, Jeppesen, or PocketFMS.
a. If you’ve downloaded data from the Dynon Avionics website or PocketFMS:
Copy the file onto your USB flash drive. The file must be in the root directory of
the drive in order to be recognizable by the display
b. If you’ve purchased data from Jeppesen: It is important that the Jeppesen
JSUM program is used to place the Jeppesen data on the USB flash drive that
will be used to load the data onto SkyView. If you manually copy Jeppesen data
onto a USB flash drive, it will not load onto your SkyView system.
2. Insert the USB flash drive into one (1) of the display’s USB sockets.
