7.3.1.11 Error Config
The tab <Error Config> provides several functions for a customized error
messages management.
It is possible to declare the type of
message for certain messages. For the
declaration there are three types predefined:
Information
Warning
Error
The default setting is <Error>
for all messages listed. The declaration defines
which digital output will
be activated in case the respective message occurs. Please
see chapter 7.3.3.2 Digital Outputs
for details about the assignment of messages
to digital outputs.
It is only possible to assign messages which are declared either as <Error>
or as
<Warning> to a digital output. A message declared as <Information>
will cause
no further reaction and has only to be confirmed.
Caution
Depending on the settings of the digital outputs <Error> and
<Warning> messages may trigger digital signals on certain outputs.
Check all seetings and connections of the printer before putting it into
operation.
The settings for the error and warning messages and the respective
digital signals are safety-relevant. Make sure that all declarations and
assignments are carried out in an appropriate manner.
Proceeding:
From the <Basic settings> dialog box (1): select the <Error Config> (2) tab.
All messages available for a customized configuration are listed with message code
(3) and the message itself (4). When this list is opened for the first time all
messages are declared by default as errors (5).
In order to change the declaration click on arrow of the drop-down list. The drop-
down list provides 3 options (6):
Information
Warning
Error
An option is selected by clicking on it (7).
All changes have to be confirmed with a click on the <OK> button (8)
. In order to
discard all changes click the <Cancel> button (9).
The Example (10) shows how the error configurations interact with the
settings in
the I/O dialog box.
