Default Configuration
Auto-negotiation is enabled.
If unspecified, the default setting is to enable all capabilities of the port.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
User Guidelines
If the capabilities are specified at the time when auto-negotiation is entered, not
specifying capabilities when entering auto-negotiation overrides the previous
configuration and enables all capabilities.
Example
The following example enables auto-negotiation on Ethernet port 1.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1
Console(config-if)# negotiation
port jumbo-frame
Use port jumbo-frame command to enable jumbo frames for the device. To disable
it, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
port jumbo-frame
no port jumbo-frame
Parameters
This command has no arguments or keywords.
