config mac_notification
Purpose Used to configure MAC address notification.
Syntax
config mac_notification [interval <int 1-2147483647> |
historysize <int 1-500>]
Description
The config mac_notification command is used to monitor MAC
addresses learned and entered into the FDB.
Parameters
interval <int 1-2147483647> − The time in seconds between
notifications. The user may choose an interval between 1 and
2147483647 seconds.
historysize <1-500> The maximum number of entries listed in the
history log used for notification.
Restrictions Only administrator or operator-level users can issue this command
Example usage:
To configure the Switch’s MAC address table notification global settings:
DES-1210-28/ME:5# config mac_notification interval 1
Command: config mac_notification interval 1
Success.
DES-1210-28/ME:5#
config mac_notification ports
Purpose Used to configure MAC address notification status settings.
Syntax
config mac_notification ports [<portlist> | all] [enable | disable]
Description
The config mac_notification ports command is used to monitor
MAC addresses learned and entered into the FDB.
Parameters
<portlist> Specifies a port or range of ports to be configured.
all – Entering this command will set all ports on the system.
[enable | disable] These commands will enable or disable MAC
address table notification on the Switch.
Restrictions Only administrator or operator-level users can issue this command
