LOOPBACK DETECTION COMMANDS
The Loopback Detection commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along with the
appropriate parameters) in the following table.
Command Parameter
config loopdetect [enable | disable]
config loopdetect mode
[<portlist> | all] [enable | disable]
config loopdetect interval_time <value 1-32767> lbd_recover_time [0 | <value 60-1000000>]
show loopdetect {ports [<portlist> | all]}
Each command is listed in detail, as follows:
config loopdetect
Purpose To enable the loop back detection to be enabled or disabled on the
Switch.
Syntax
config loopdetect [enable | disable]
Description
The config loopdetect command enables or disables the loop back
detection on the Switch.
Parameters
[enabled | disabled] − Specifies the loop back detection is enabled or
disabled on the Switch.
Restrictions Only administrator or operate-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To enable the loopback detection feature on the Switch:
DES-1210-28/ME:5# config loopdetect enable
Command: config loopdetect enable
Success!
DES-1210-28/ME:5#
config loopdetect mode
Purpose To configure the loop back detection mode to be portbase or
vlanbase on the Switch.
Syntax
config loopdetect mode [portbase | vlanbase]
Description
The config loopdetect mode command configures loop back
detection mode to be portbase or vlanbase on the Switch.
Parameters
[portbase | vlanbase]] - Specifies the loopdetect mode to be
portbase or vlanbase.
