Chapter 31 External Alarm Command
List
config external_alarm channel <value 1-2> message <sentence 1-128>
show external_alarm
config external_alarm channel 31-1
Description
This command is used to configure external alarm message for a channel.
Format
config external_alarm channel <value 1-2> message <sentence 1-128>
Parameters
<value 1-2> - Enter the channel value to be configured.
message - Specify the message to be displayed on the console, log and trap.
<sentence 1-128> - Enter the message to be displayed on the console, log and trap.
Restrictions
Only Administrators and Operators can issue this command.
Example
To configure alarm message for channel 1:
DGS-3000-26TC:admin#config external_alarm channel 1 message External Alarm: UPS
is Exhausted.
Command: config external_alarm channel 1 message External Alarm: UPS is
Exhausted.
Success.
DGS-3000-26TC:admin#
show external_alarm 31-2
Description
This command is used to display the status of external alarm.
