SkyView Classic and SkyView HDX Touch Setup
SkyView Classic SV-D1000T and SkyView HDX displays SV-HDX800 and SV-HDX1100 have
settings that are specific to the touch interface: SETUP MENU > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > TOUCH
SETUP. This menu will not appear on SkyView Classic displays SV-D700 and SV-D1000, and
SkyView SE displays SV-D600 and SV-D900.
(SV-D1000T Only) TOUCH ENABLED YES/NO Enables / disables touch features on a SV-
D1000T. When set to NO, an SV-D1000T behaves exactly as an SV-D1000.
(SV-D1000T Only) KEYBOARD LAYOUT A-Z | QWERTY Selects the keyboard layout of the
onscreen keyboard that appears when alphanumeric character input is required (such as

showing where the touch screen is sensing finger(s). SHOW TOUCHES is primarily used for
diagnostics / troubleshooting and is not normally enabled.
HARDWARE STATUS, EVENT COUNTER, POINT #1, POINT #2, and TOUCH TEST… are used for
diagnostics / troubleshooting of the touch system of the display.
Glide Ring Setup
SkyView Classic (as of Software v14.0), and SkyView HDX, can display a Glide Ring . For
instructions on how to use the Glide Ring feature, see the SkyView Classic Pilot’s User Guide,
Rev W. and later, or the SkyView HDX Pilot’s User Guide.
There are two settings that need to be adjusted for your specific aircraft for Glide Ring to be
accurately displayed:
SETUP MENU > AIRCRAFT INFORMATION > SINK RATE DURING GLIDE
SETUP MENU > PFD SETUP > AIRSPEED LIMITATIONS > Vg BEST GLIDE
(under PERFORMANCE)
Weight and Balance Setup
SkyView Classic (as of Software v15.0), and SkyView HDX can assist you in computing Weight
and Balance for your aircraft.
At least two weight / moment points are required to define the quadrilateral that defines your
Center of Gravity (CG) operating limits and the weight / moment points of the stations (which
you define).
After setup is complete, Weight and Balance is accessed from the TOOLS > WT & BAL (SkyView
Classic) or MENU > WEIGHT BAL icon (SkyView HDX). For instructions on how to use the Weight
and Balance feature, see the SkyView Classic Pilot’s User Guide, Rev. X and later, or the SkyView
HDX Pilot’s User Guide.
For Weight and Balance calculations to be displayed, several settings must be entered for your
specific aircraft:
SETUP MENU > AIRCRAFT INFORMATION > WEIGHT & BALANCE
o > MAX GROSS WEIGHT
o > EMPTY WEIGHT
